The Company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Implementation

The Company wishes to continue growing and developing along with the community such that the Company always strive to run its business while contributing to the community, directly or indirectly.

A. Social and Community Development

At PT Rig Tenders Indonesia Tbk, we fully subscribe to the philosophy that a successful company is defined not only by the achievement of its business goals, but by how well it integrates into the very fabric of society and creating a positive impact on communities that it operates in.

While managing our operations responsibly and effectively, and contributing to social and economic development, we fully recognise that our long-term success depends on the strength of our relationships with the community. We view our corporate social responsibility programmes as a strategic initiative that helps us manage and create value for our company and the society in general.

Undeniably, communities hold our franchise to operate, and we need their resources, infrastructure, markets, and workforce to thrive. In fact, we owe them our integrity, and our ability to offer jobs and community support. In line with this, we are actively involved in various causes that benefit the community, either by providing financial support, our expertise, or other resources whenever the opportunity presents itself. We contribute either directly through our employees, customers, and suppliers, in our plants, and through our many non-profit partners around the world.

The Company, through its corporate social responsibility programmes, touches the lives of thousands of people every day in the community.

B. Good Labor Practice

Employees are valuable assets for the Company to be cherished and trained to support the Company’s performance and growth. More importantly, they are also the assets for their family and community, and part of the building elements of the nation.

The Company’s social responsibility to employees is materialized, among others, in the following policies:

  • Not to employ under-aged employees;
  • To implement gender equality in the recruitment and promotion of employees;
  • To pay wages in accordance with the applicable minimum regional wage (“UMR”) and benefits in accordance with the applicable laws and regulations;
  • To set working hours in accordance with the governing laws and regulations;
  • To conduct educational and skill trainings on regular basis for all levels of Company’s organization from the Board of Directors to the operational level employees to improve their competency

C. Good Occupational Safety and Health and Environmental Preservation

The Company has been implementing Quality/Health & Safety (OH&S/ISM) and Environmental Policy (“QHSE Policy”) effective since 1998 and has made Revision: 02 on January 26, 2017.

The Policy is to provide all customers with Services that consistently exceed their expectations in relation to Quality/Health & Safety (OH&S/ISM), Reliability, Customer Service and Environmental responsibilities.

This shows the Company’s commitment to achieving the highest Management standards with particular emphasis placed upon marine safety, safe working practices and the health of personnel, protection of the environment and continuous improvement of the skills offshore and sea personnel.

This Policy is communicated and understood within the Organisation and is available to the Public and will be reviewed for continuing suitability and relevance.

D. QHSE Manual

The Company has established and documented a Quality, Health, Safety and Environment (QHSE) Manual which suits the Company and ensures that processes are carried out in a controlled manner and which meets the requirements of Quality Standard ISO 9001:2008, Occupational Health & Safety Standard OHSAS 18001:2007, the ISM Code 2014 and Environmental Standard ISO 14001:2004 and all applicable legal requirements.

  • No accident resulting in the loss of human life
  • No accident resulting in the loss of time
  • No occurance of fire/explosion during operations
  • No spillage into the sea during operation
